It was my second year at warped, but the first I knew and listened to a majority of the bands. But of course I ultimately came to meet Motionless in White. They’re my favorite band and I had littered written out what I was going to say 20x. So I was really excited when I found out we can meet them just by preordering Reincarnate. I had to miss most of the Chelsea Grin show, which bummed me because I was right next to the stage. But hey Motionless is worth it.
Pictures weren’t allowed so I couldn’t take any , but the line inched closer and I became more nervous. They all smiled as they signing my poster even though I looked like shit at that point. When I got to Chris he handed me my poster and I presented him with friendship brackets. But the line had to keep moving so he couldn’t really find out what it was until later.
An hour later we went to the stage near the front and the show started. But I lost my friend and had to go back and little. Then we decided to crowd surf to ‘If it’s Dead We Kill It’ and 10 second later my face was 3 inches from the ground. But then I was thrown and I shit you not they dropped a 100lb teen. But I went back up and hung out at close up as I could get.
After the show ended I went over and sat by the fence. My leg was completely shredded from falling in pits and being dropped. I was ready to go home, but I see these large plugs flopping walking behind the gate. And one by one they all walked out. My friend who didn’t get to meet them got Chris’ s attention and he came right over and signed her notebook. Yet again I had fallen speechless, and I will never forget. He looked up from that book with a smile and said the two simplest words. Thank you.
I completely lost my shit, like spazz attack and he just smiled the whole time. I will never forget that moment. Just because it probably didn’t mean much to him but meeting them was on my bucket list. And I still can’t refrain from smiling every time I recall the event. And Chris if you’re reading this Thank you, and I wear my bracelet everyday.
